the 5.5 is the perfect do everything knife, that shines solo but plays really well with others. Everything about this knife is perfect, size, cutting edge, grind, steels available, sheaths available, handling, comfort in hard, blade design and geometry. seriously, use it for everything from bushcraft, camping, field work, hunting, belt knife, EDC (where allowed). Heck I have the stainless version on my battlebelt!

I’ve had an AK 6.5 for some time now and its design and performance has been outstanding as an all-around outdoor camp knife. It is just a little on the large size, which is why I ordered the AK 5.5. The AK 5.5 does everything that its big brother, the AK 6.5, can do but is in a smaller, more compact form factor. I think the AK 5.5 is going to be my go to camp knife now. I’m planning to order an AK 4.5 for my wife.
