Featuring a streamlined countoured profile that nests naturally and securely in your hand, the AK 3 handle kit is available in 25+ colors, and in G10 or Micarta material. G10 is impervious to moisture and is usually best if you need the most durable handle material available. Micarta is also extremely durable, and excels in grippy-ness when wet. It offers that organic fibrous feel in the hand which many appreciate.
All Architect handles are professionally CNC machined from quality raw material. Our handles are designed to provide a solid, comfortable grip for extended use anywhere, anytime. The light textured finish provides excellent grip in slippery use situations, and cleans up easily. The blade’s lanyard hole sits just behind this handle, providing a secure location to attach your lanyard.
Installation is quick and easy. Instructions and mounting hardware are included. With little practice, you can easily install your AK 3 handle scales in as little as 60 seconds.

This a follow up of the quick review I submitted yesterday. After my submission I decided that I am so pleased with this knife and wanted to share more:
Initially, I was waiting for a similar knife to drop that has a price point of $285. But when I saw the AK3 on Gideonstactical I liked it much more than the knife I was waiting for. The low drop point on the AK3 is more useful for my needs and it has a perfect blade shape. Then there is the .093 inch blade thickness combined with the high saber grind; a slicing machine! The handle is perfection also. Finally something that fits and fills my extra large hands! Aaron’s only complaint about the AK3 was that it wasn’t pretty. Anything that makes my day a little easier is a thing of beauty to me!
I already have sheaths so I ordered just the knife; with Gideon’s discount, I paid $130 for the AK3 which is less than half the price of the other knife I had my eye on. On top of the price, I feel that the AK3 is a much better quality knife.
