After learning about Architect Knives I started out with an AK6.5 and promptly built an AK8 after receiving it. Before that one even shipped I built an AK4.5. I am super happy with these knives and love the fact that you can build them to your liking. For the 4.5 I went with Kydex (I did leather on the other two) with a tek-lok. These knives feel great in the hand and so far appear to be super tough. Worth every penny! I’m tempted to build one in every size and own the whole family lol…if you are thinking of picking up one of these stop hesitating and just do it already. They are terrific quality, well worth the price and ship fast.

Blade fit and finish is great, and the handle is very comfortable. The close competitor would be the WRK Ursus 45 in magnacut, but that model is more expensive, frequently sold out, and lacks the Archtect level of customizable options. I do wish there was a 90° spine area forward of the jimping (like the WRK Ursus cub).

I had been looking for a new EDC knife for my get-home-bag (GHB). After hours of research, I came across Architect Knifes and did even more research.
I was torn between the AK 3.5 and the AK 4.5 and was ready to build my knife, but the steel I wanted (MagnaCut) wasn’t available…
…A few days later, while watching a video by GideonsTactical on YouTube, a new MagnaCut drop came in and I designed my AK 4.5 and purchased!
In the time I have had the knife, I have found it to be very high quality and perfect in weight.
My only suggestion for Architect Knives would be to use Torx screws instead of Allen screws as you get a stronger purchase when tightening and less likelihood of stripping out the Allen screws.

My AK 4.5 is beautiful and superbly made. I was pleasantly surprised to see it being shipped from Ohio, where I live! The only improvement I could say, is round over the thumb release on the sheath a little. It is a little sharp. For example, like on an Esee sheath where it is at about a 45 degree angle and smooth.
Please make a AK 4.5 in Magnutcut with a scandi grind and a 90 degree spine for ferro rod striking.

Hi! Thank you very much for the knife you sent me! It was my dream since last year when I first saw the video about it! I liked almost everything and the shape of the blade and the handle of the knife, absolutely everything! But next time I would like you to sharpen the spine of the knife for me, if possible, at an angle of 90 degrees, to cut out sparks from Ferro Rod better! I also want you to work on sharpening the knife, it does not work very well with carving of wood, either it slips, or need use more power for carving the wood! I watched a lot of videos about knives such as AK-5.5 and AK 4.5 and everyone who cut wood or made Feather sticks ,had the same problem – the knife slipped on the wood or cut off a large piece of wood! I also wanted to ask you about your signature on the knife blade! All the knives in the video have it, but mine doesn’t??? Why is that?? Or you just forgot put it on blade! Also I apologise for my English if I made a lot of mistakes in writing but I hope you will understand, What I mean! Thank you so much !With best wishes , Oleksandr
