Haven’t had a lot of time with the AK3 yet, but it has an extremely comfortable feel in the hand and is extremely light for it’s size. Very well made

Got the ak3 in magnacut to give the steel a try instead of good ole 1095 and the Ak3 is on the thin side but seems to hold its weight rather well for its thickness I do love it for skinning so far it’s had 4 squirrel and a doe no problems edge is still wicked sharp the sheath is really nice especially with leather backer

As I knife afficionado, I have always carried a folder. But then I started to look into a fixed blade. After researching on YouTube architect knives caught my eyes. To make my choices more difficult, the type of steel had played into my decision. Magnacut and the size became a factor. Luckily architect had what I was looking for in the size and type of steel. After using it for two weeks. It was the perfect size and durable. After 2 weeks of cutting into cardboard, plastic wrapped pallets. The knife has held up it’s edge. Pretty much all i had done to maintain the edge was minor clean and stopping. 👍

Hello,
Purchased these two knives 1) the Ak-3.
and 2. Ak-8. Love both.
But my mistake; I wanted a belt clip for the Al-3.
So I was returning accessories, and reordering, the proper belt clip.
My error, not Architect’s
Cordially,
John W.

I was delighted with this knife immediately upon assembly but could not resist putting an 12.5 degree per side polished edge on it. It is as effortlessly slicey as any knife I have owned (hundreds) or sharpened (thousands). I also own one of your AK 3.5 knives and it is a somewhat heavier duty gem. Thanks for the great knives!!!

The knife came out excellent! The magnacut steel is awesome! The edge on it came so sharp that it could cut steel! 😄The edge was like a razor 👍 Handle panels are great 👌Fine leather sheath with dangler is just right 👍 Glad that I made the purchase! 👍

Perfect for cross draw carry. Light weight and thin blade stock also great for EDC

Was really pleased to see Magnacut AK3 blades back in stock and immediately got to work with the Knife Builder. The knife came sharp and ready for work. I specifically wanted the AK3 because of the thin blade stock and overall geometry, and I haven’t been disappointed. The pancake kydex sheath is well made and the blade locks in with an authoritative click. I do wish that there was a thinner profile Taco style kydex sheath available and I may look into a custom for that. If you’re on the fence about this one, do yourself a favor and pick one up. You won’t regret it.

This is my third knife 🔪, I bought from AK knifes. I love all 3. As for the AK 3,it’s perfect for EDC.I put a ulticlip on it, fits perfectly in my front pocket

I thought this would be like any other 3” knives on the market but I was really happy to see how thin the blade is. It is not designed to be a heavy duty knife. The slimness makes it a great knife for slicing and cutting, especially useful when doing food prep at campsites. The handle is long enough to fit people with large size hands too, and did I say the handle is thick enough to offer a very comfortable grip. I can’t speak of its durability as I have yet to use it for long, but with normal slicing and cutting tasks, I don’t see why it should not last me a lifetime.

I absolutely love this knife. It’s thin and slicey. I carry it in the front pocket instead of a pocket knife. It’s not a beater knife, but for most EDC tasks, it’s very near perfect. I tried and owned a ton of knives before the AK3. I am done searching.

I am not a knife expert; I just love knives. This knife in my opinion is a winner. I love the feel. If carried or not I must get it out almost every day just to get this good feeling. I have 6 fixed blades and this is my favorite. The jimping is perfect for me. The leather sheath is of top quality. Blade is very sharp. I never thought I would pay over 300 for a knife but I have my eye on another AK, the AK8. Quality does not come cheap.

Comfortable, well-sized blade, and beautiful. My main complaints are that top of the spine does not sit completely flush with micarta scales (but does not affect usage/comfort), and the retention screw on the sheath is placed in a way that disallows me from attaching an Ulti Clip on that side (my preferred side).

Very compact yet comfortable knife that can really do some heavy cutting work. AK 3 is a great design and the customability is amazing. Sheath is very secure and the knife really suted to be a true work knife. Im very happy with mine. Also it came very fast internationally and as described.

Great little knife

This knife is about half – 2/3rds the cost of comparable knives that come with less. This knifes scary sharp – the kind of knife that cuts so well it demands your respect.

The ak3 in magnacut with g10 scales and kydex sheath is lightweight, comfortable in the hand, shaving sharp, and great for pocket carry. It’s a great little knife and a good deal!

Have been looking at Architect for a while now. Finally bit the bullet and ordered the AK3 after seeing a video at GideonsTactical; whose opinion I value.
Arrived today after bouncing around USPS for a few days.
Plain cardboard box with no markings with the knife parts inside individual plastic bags and nothing else. Took about 1-2 minutes to put together with the included Allen wrench . The sheath has a bit of paracord on it and you can adjust the tension with the twist of a screw. There is also a generous thumb push off with some jimping for easy removal of the blade ( there are however some sharp edges where the handle meets the sheath that need to be smoothed out ).
It did arrive hair splitting sharp and overall it’s a keeper.

Been looking at Architect Knife builder for awhile now but when I saw a video review by a trusted reviewer I actually decided to make my purchase.
The entire process is extremely easy to do, essentially you just pick your knife size then start putting together your individual choices for steel, handle scales, sheath and any other options you want. A few clicks later and it’s done.
The hardest part of it all is waiting for your knife to be delivered.
It arrived about 6-7 days later in a plain unmarked box with each piece in individual plastic bags. No frills, not even any paperwork other than the invoice.
It took less than five minutes to put together with the included Allen wrenches. The blade itself was hair splitting sharp out of the box and the handle scales are nicely contoured and fill your hand comfortably without any hot spots. The included sheath has a short piece of paracord and an adjustable screw to tighten (or loosen) the blade in the sheath to your preference.
All in all I am quite pleased with this product and will be coming back for more in the future.
