This knife is built to last. Thick steel, sturdy durable handle and incredibly sharp. The finish on the 1095 is beautiful, as well.

About two weeks ago I accidentally via Google search found Architect Knives, an U.S. based producer and vendor of excellent fixed blade knives.
Searching for a high quality bushcraft and survival knife I surfed their website and web shop. I was totally fascinated about their offerings. At Architect Knives YOU are the architect and builder of your own knife! There are plenty of blade sizes, from little ones up to 8″. You can select the look of the blade, like stone washed or others. You can select the desired steel, starting with 1095 up to Magna Cut. You also can select the material and color of the handles, if you want a leather sheath or kydex. Do you want to fix your knife with a dangler, Tec-Lok or Molle compatible? Your choice. Additional gear like fire starters, a small or a larger “survival bag” that can be fixed on the sheath, even paracord in a fitting color is available for your own designed knife!
Totally fascinated I within minutes very easily designed the knife of my own taste. Having finished it’s design, I placed it into the shopping cart and followed their very easy and user friendly buying process. The knife and it’s different components are very high quality, offered for a real fair price.
Two days later (I ordered at the weekend) the knife very well packed was handed over to USPS and they delivered the parcel within a few days to Germany, where DHL took the parcel and delivered it to me.
Unpacking the parcel I found several smaller bags, containing the different components I ordered for my knife. The only thing I had to do, was putting the components together and fix some screws. The necessary tools are included in the package. About 5 minutes later I finished putting together the components of the knife. My Architect knife looks excellent. It is a 6.5 model with CPM 3V steel, G10 handles and a Kydex sheath with a firestarter and the large bag on the sheath. The knife is super stable, it has a razor sharp edge and it is the knife I was looking for so long until I found Architect Knives!
I already used the knife for some outdoor activities, and I can tell you it is worth each cent!
Architect Knives as producer and vendor as well as their first class knives are getting a 5 stars rating and a thumbs up from me. I totally can recommend this vendor, their web shop and their products. For sure I will become one of their returning customers. This company makes me really happy as their customer!
PS: Meanwhile I already placed my second order at Architect Knives! 😊

I just discovered the Architect Knives and ordered an AK 6.5 which arrived today. I love that you can customize your own version of the knives and there are a lot of different options to choose from. Not only is this a true working knife, it looks and feels great too. I am building an AK 8 right after I submit this review. A huge thanks to Architect Knives! If you are in the market for a workhorse, look no further!!

AK6.5 in Magnacut. What’s not to love? Red scales and sheath. Named “Bloodreina.” Literally the best knife ever created.

I’ve purchased several Architect Knives since their debut, and they’ve swiftly become my favorites among the dozens of knives I own, spanning brands like Spyderco, Benchmade, Morakniv, KaBar etc. The craftsmanship is phenomenal, boasting impeccable fit and finish. Incredible design, exceptional fit and finish, all at a killer price point. Can’t recommend enough!

I just ordered a Architect AK 6.5 I built it using their online ordering system and it worked great. I had some questions and additions during the process and Ethan was great to work with to get me what I wanted. Great knife and great customer service. I highly recommend them.
Andrew (verified owner) –
Ergonomics and blade geometry are excellent! After using it for hard use tasks, I gotta say the Magnacut heat treatment is on point! Edge holding, edge stability, strength, and its resistance to edge deformation really surprised me! Great job!

Everything arrived quickly and as expected. CPM MagnaCut is amazing. I look forward to another great experience with AK!

Wonderful quality products. Top Notch customer service. Just going to have to collect the entire series now. Got mine in the magnacut variant. Very happy with it.

I finally got my hands on a magnacut blade. I’m looking forward to putting the blade thru it’s paces . I’m sure from all the community of knife buffs it will do great.
Peter Matthews (verified owner) –
Least sharp of the five AK knives I’ve purchased, very narrow bevel and not the same angle grind on the edge as other knives purchased.
Richard Stokes (verified owner) –
Fantastic quality and value. There’s really nothing else like this available. You should buy one, you won’t regret it.
Gian Godenzi (verified owner) –
What an amazing knife and fast delivery. Even though I live in Switzerland everything worked perfect and the knife arrived way befor my expected date.
Can’t wait to buy a version in Magnacut 😉

My AK 6.5 came very sharp. It’s a very beef knife as well you can tell it can take whatever you throw at .it’s my first AK but when the magnacut steel blade comes back in 4 1/2 and 8 I will be purchasing them as well that’s how good the magnacut steel knifes are

A friend admired my AK 5.5 which was perfect for me in 3V for bushcraft skills. Being a butcher in the past, he needed a longer blade that he could clean and butcher large game as he is an avid hunter. Requiring toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance, the Magnacut blade, with G-10 handles, and a Kydex sheath met all his needs. His response after harvesting a big buck was, “My hand will never touch another knife”. Thanks so much Ethan for answering my emails immediately and keeping me informed.

I haven’t had a chance to get this knife out in the field and use it, but I’ve had several knives over the years and can tell the AK 6.5 will do whatever it’s asked to do. I bought a Magnacut knife and it’s very sharp. Can’t wait to see how it holds an edge.
The knife handles were easy to put on and it feels great in the hand. The sheath is basic but holds the knife securely with a little resistance as the knife is removed.. I’m not sure what the 6 AK5.5 screws are for. All in all, my first impressions are very positive.
Miguel (verified owner) –
I didn’t think the knife was going to be so incredible. The size and quality of every element make the 6.5 the best knife in my collection. I will now go for a smaller one!

Great looking knife. Sharp out of the box. Still don’t understand why companies don’t put a 90 degree spine on a utility knife. Other than that, great purchase.

came super sharp one week from ordering, customer service response fast

Very versatile knife with a tried and true design and with MagnaCut steel it can be the only outdoor knife I will ever need. The fit and finesh is seconed to non. I realy love this AK6.5.
Mel S. (verified owner) –
Good knife, can’t wait to use it. Did not expect to assemble the knife when it arrived to me, would like to see a disclaimer on the site about that.
rik johnson (verified owner) –
I like the knife itself. I didn’t realize it would come unassembled, but that’s not a big deal. Weird, but not a problem. I don’t care for the Kydex sheath; I have plenty of them for other knives, but the hardware for this one wasn’t great. I wound up ordering the leather sheath, which I like.

I am pretty new to the whole knife thing but the addiction has kicked in full force. The AK6.5 in S35VN was my first and since I have ordered the AK 4.5 and 5.5 in Magnacut glad I did when they dropped because they sold out soon after.
The Pinewood Viking (verified owner) –
One might look at this knife and think it looks sorta plain, and it might be to some, but if you put it in your hands and work with it you realize how exceptional the design is, very useful for its size and not lacking in functionality. Pick your steel, scales, sheath, and accessories and get out into the world and see what you can do with one! The right tool for the job!
You just need to decide what that is!
Excellent customer service, warranty, quality, the only thing they don’t do is buy you dinner and beers!
The only downside is they sell out fast!
David Wheeler (verified owner) –
This is a nice knife for bush crafting. It does everything that I need it to do perfectly. The handle is a good fit and I like the finger toil for fine work. The magnet cut steel is a perfect choice for this knife. I look forward to purchasing an AK 8.0. The problem is these knives are gone by the time I find out they’re available. I was lucky to get the AK 6.5.

Feels so solid in the hand, looks awesome, sharp. Confident for any task

As a kid big knives were something I always wanted, now at my age they are something I have and have used for years. I just recently bought the AK 6.5, and if I was left with only this tool I would feel pretty lucky, its big, and built stout, the edge is razor sharp, it is very ergonomic, and allows many various grips and modified uses, when a big knife is something you need, or just plain think is cool, this AK 6.5 is both excellent in use and cool factor off the charts.
I intend to get another one in a cpm or magnacut, and then really put em into the field to see if I can expand my skills with the big knife catagory. It’s also quite a conversation piece as your steak kjnife at a steak bbq, on a big thick rib steak.
Parkerone (verified owner) –
I own two of them – one in 1095 and one in Magnacut. Both are excellent. The 6.5 is the perfect one tool option: carving, batoning, slicing, piercing, fire making etc. I would definitely buy it agian! Many greetings from Germany!

Nice feather sticker
Great for batoning
Terrible chopper in my opinion-chopping small limbs is a no go unless they are less then a 3/4.
Stays sharp for a good amount of time while butchering deer. Butchered an entire deer with only honing the blade once near the end of it.
Did a little kitchen work with it. Cuts raw veggies okay. Handles tend to get loose if you do s lot of (heavy batoning along with heavy chopping) otherwise they stay on tight. All in all great knife. Im going to go a size down and get the 5. I love the leather sheath too.

Architect knives are awesome. I recently purchased 6.5 AK in 1095 and let me tell you it’s a peirce of art. Razor sharp we’ll balanced and the weight is perfect. Thank you Architect Knives!
